Using Autodesk Inventor’s Tube & Pipe environment, we design and develop accurate, efficient piping systems integrated directly within 3D assemblies. This allows us to model process piping, equipment connections, manifolds, and skid-mounted pipework while ensuring proper routing, clearances, and manufacturability.
Our structured engineering workflow ensures that every piping design is technically sound, coordinated with surrounding equipment, and ready for fabrication and installation by the client or their selected contractor.
Project Planning
- Reviewing process requirements, P&IDs, and equipment layouts
- Conducting site surveys where necessary to confirm routing constraints and installation conditions
- Integrating existing models, plant layouts, or reference assemblies into the Inventor environment
- Establishing piping routes while considering space constraints, maintenance access, and installation requirements
- Applying relevant industry standards and piping specifications
Design & Engineering
- Creating intelligent pipe routes using Inventor’s Tube & Pipe tools
- Selecting appropriate pipe sizes, fittings, valves, and components from standard libraries
- Ensuring correct routing, clearances, and clash-free integration with surrounding equipment
- Optimising pipe layouts for fabrication efficiency and maintainability
Client Collaboration
- Reviewing pipe routing concepts with the client and engineering teams
- Adjusting layouts based on feedback, site constraints, or process changes
- Refining the model to achieve an approved and coordinated design
Final Deliverables
- Fully coordinated 3D piping models integrated with equipment and structural assemblies
- General Arrangement (GA) drawings showing pipe routes and equipment connections
- Detailed manufacturing drawings and component lists where required
This approach ensures that piping systems are accurate, coordinated, and fabrication-ready, reducing installation risks and improving efficiency during construction and commissioning.
